While references to pyrite deposits in the region date back to Calderón (1910), the unique treasures of Navajún remained hidden until the mid-20th century.

In 1965, Pedro Ansorena Garret recognized the extraordinary potential of this area and secured an exploration permit, later evolving into the "Ampliación A Victoria Mine" Concession granted by the General Directorate of Mines in 1983. Since then, our mine has been dedicated to the careful extraction of these unique crystals, making Navajún the only mine in the world producing pyrite in perfect cube shapes—a true natural wonder.
